About the Artist
I learned something about making jewelry while in grade school. Our school had summer activities that took place on the school grounds. It wasn't until after several years of marriage, and our children were grown that I began creating jewelry in earnest. In 1991 while my husband was in the hospital for a short time he bought me a beaded War Bonnet to hang from my truck rear view mirror. He made the mistake of saying "I bet you could do this". What a Pandora's Box he opened! I began creating these and some Native American Style jewelry, accessories and wall hangings. Sold most of these items as well. I was hooked!

I then began experimenting with other types of jewelry. In 1998 I began working with the wire, copper, brass and nickel silver to start. In Dec. 1999 I got my first computer, stumbled upon web sites about wire jewelry in Sterling and 14k Gold Fill. Except for the wonderful assistance I have received over the wire jewelry forums, I am pretty much self taught. Although most of my creations are designed by myself and are one of a kind, I do occasionally follow a pattern created by another artist. I am very critical of my creations. If it doesn't meet my critique, I don't even consider selling it.

My husband, Tony and I married in 1961, have three wonderful children, two sons and one daughter. We have two wonderful Daughters-in-Law, two grandsons, one step-grandson and five step-granddaughters. As far as we are concerned though, they're all our grandchildren!

Tony and I live in the country on five acres with our three kitty cats, Buffy, Gabby and Queenie. We have no livestock and do no farming but have lots of wild life. We seen deer, possums, raccoons, foxes, a cayote, and even a bobcat family. We just enjoy the peace and quiet of the country setting.  After many years of working outside the home and raising our children I retired in 1999 due to a disability. I now have more time to devote to my passion, jewelry.
Hi there and welcome to my little web site. My name is Carol and I was first introduced to crafting as a very young girl. I was in Blue Birds, the first stage of Camp Fire Girls. Our leader taught us to make candles, simple paraffin wax melted and poured into the old wax milk cartons. After removing the carton, she showed us how to whip the wax and apply it to the outside of the candle. I then made candles off and on for nearly 40 years. As I got older got some regular candle moulds in novelty shapes. Made and sold these for many years and had many repeat customers.
