Wire Wrapped
Freeform Pendant
PDF Tutorial
Tut-004 $7.00 USD
Skill Level: Intermediate
You will need a minimum of 35" of 21 ga Square Soft wire
12" of 20 ga Half Round Half Hard wire
One freeform cabochon. The one in this tut is about 3 1/2" around the outer parimeter.
I also included several photos of pendants in different shapes for inspiration.
Wire wrapping freeform stones really doesn't differ much from wrapping the standard ovals or rounds as you'll see in this tutorial. You may use Sterling Silver, 14k Gold Fill or Copper for this tutorial. I do not reccomend brass as it tends to be stiffer and harder to work with. For practice, Copper is the best choice. Square and half round copper wire can be found at Brandywine Jewelry Supply
